The Millennium, part 11

Shalom, friends.

Matthew 13:47-50
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
The next parable of Matthew 13 is called...

The Parable of the Drag-Net.

The seventh parable, the Drag-Net, is similar to the Tares and the Wheat, in that the Kingdom will contain both justified ones and wicked ones who will be sorted only at the end of the Millennial Age. Again, verse 49 contains the Greek word "aioonos" meaning "age" more than the nebulous term "world."

A drag-net is a net that is weighted with metal or rocks on one side of the net and tied to floats on the other side. Thus, the net is extended the width of the net from the surface of the lake to the bottom of the net. It is then dragged through the lake. The weights will drag bottom as it comes into shallower water, and it traps all sorts of schools of fishes; however, it doesn't discriminate between types of fish. It snares them all! Then, individuals will have to sort out the catch once the net is full and drawn into the shore or the boat. This is how the Kingdom from the sky will be.

The Kingdom will collect all sorts of people, some justified by God and some who chose to remain wicked. The messengers (Greek: aggeloi) will then have to sort them out at the end of this first age of the Kingdom. Remember this: Technically, there is no end to the Kingdom. What will change, however, is who will be the primary ruler.

1 Cor 15:20-28
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
KJV

So, you see, there will come a time when the Messiah will subject Himself to His Father and the Father will become the Emperor of the earth, the King of Kings. From a comparison with the last three chapters of Revelation, this will happen in the New Earth.

Never forget, however, that the Messiah Yeshua` will remain haMelekh Yisra'el, the King of Israel:

Luke 1:30-33
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
KJV

In the Messiah's love,
Retrobyter
